60 OPC Members Protect Speaker Tambuwal

Reports just coming in from Abuja inform that

the Speaker of Nigeria’s House of

Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal has

got a new security detail after the policemen

protecting him was withdrawn by the

Presidency last week.

According to a news report aired by TV Continental

in Lagos on Sunday, 2 November, 2014, about 60

members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, are

now protecting Tambuwal in Abuja.

The OPC is a Yoruba nationalist organisation

situated in western Nigeria.

Though details of this development are still being

expected, it was gathered that the OPC members

now follow Tambuwal to all his destinations.

The House of Reps is presently on recess till 3

December.
